“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” ― Albert Einstein
I like this quote not because of the harshness in pointing out the stupidity of others, but in myself. If you’ve ever read the book Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind, you will know this rule: “People are stupid. They will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they’re afraid it might be true.” What this means is that people are easy to control, simply by telling them a lie. Most likely they will believe the lie because of those reasons and act accordingly. Recognizing your own ability to be stupid simply means that no one will ever be able to take advantage of it.

This is the attitude that got me started writing in the first place. I always had stories inside of me that I wanted to tell, but I couldn’t because I was too shy and the thought of sharing my stories was way too horrifying. So instead I’d close my eyes and let the stories play out like a movie in my head. I still do that today when I’m writing. I just write the movie I see.

Most people something in their past that haunts them, whether it happened when they were a child or as an adult. I just think it’s sad when I see people who allow these events to control their lives when I know how great life can be when you rise above it all and don’t let it define who you are as a person.

This pretty much sums me up. I have always believed in things until it’s proven (to me…and my proof is most definitely different to others). After all, those stories had to come from somewhere, right? That’s another reason I love to write, though. I can share the worlds I see when I dream and I can bring them to life.
