Weekly Fantasy Fix: Decluttering: Nightmare or Amazing Motivator of Creativity?

Weekly Fantasy Fix

Hey there! It’s spring now in Australia, and it’s getting warmer by the day. I’m not ready for the hot weather yet, especially since we had such a mild winter (which usually means we’re in for a super hot summer).

Recently, I’ve been in full-on spring cleaning mode. I hate cleaning, but this house needs some major decluttering, and I’m trying hard to get it all done before the heat really sets in.

The only good thing about all the cleaning is for some reason I do some of my best thinking at those times. If I’m stuck on a part in my story, the answer seems to always come to me when I’m doing some kind of menial chore. So I’m keeping a notebook close to me at all times and writing down thing as they come to me.

What helps bring out your creativity?

Email me and tell me about it!

Oh and before I forget, I’m taking part in the Virtual FantasyCon event this year, and they’re holding an awards ceremony. I’m nominated for three different categories and I’d appreciate your votes!

Weekly Fantasy Fix: Mind Explosion!

Weekly Fantasy Fix

Have you ever had so many ideas that you felt like your head was going to explode?

That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I’ve had tons of story ideas running through my head it’s been hard keeping up with them all. Now I’ve got Shadow Stalker, which I need to finish up and two novel series that I’ve been planning.

One is the A God’s Deception one I’ve actually been slowly working on for the last year or so. I’m also going to be writing a paranormal thriller series under a pen name. And I’ve got at least 10 more ideas that I’ve had to start writing down.

On top of that, yesterday I asked a friend if I could use her name for a story. I really like her name. Anyway, she said yes, so I decided to take it a bit further. I told her to think about who she would be if she could be anyone she wanted. I don’t mean another person, but what attributes she’d want. Then I told her I’d write a story with her as the character.

That should really be a fun challenge. I’m just glad my creative bug is coming back. 😀

Weekly Fantasy Fix: Winter in Here…Beware Winter!

Weekly Fantasy Fix

Most of you are probably saying, “Wait a minute! It’s not winter!” But it definitely is here in the downunder, and with it comes the winter illnesses. I’m usually smart enough to get my flu shot since I have a weakened immune system. It doesn’t keep me completely healthy, but I don’t get as sick for as long. This year I was silly and forgot, and so far I’ve had the flu three times, bronchitis twice and a head cold. I’m just now starting to get over my worst case of bronchitis I can ever remember having.

So what’s the point of me telling you all this?

Don’t be silly like me, and certainly don’t mess with your health! When it really comes down to it, it’s the most important thing in your life. Without good health, how can you possibly live a productive and happy life?

So now I have good news and bad news. I’ll give you the bad news first, so it won’t seem so bad once I give you the good news. 😀

The bad news is, in my feverish stupor, I failed to finish Episode 16 of myShadow Stalker serial. In fact, I only realized yesterday that it was Friday. I thought I still had a week! Nothing worse than waking up one day and realizing a week went by and you missed the whole thing…again my fault…should have gotten that flu shot!

Ready for the good news? Go read my Works in Progress!

Also below is a sneak peek from one of the chapters I wrote this week. Hope you enjoy it!
