The Female Hero

Originally Shadow Stalker had a male protagonist, but recently (and with prior advice from a friend) I’ve decided to go female…Yeah, the world can use some more female heroes!Needless to stay the story is going through some changes, but the main plot is staying the same. The ideas that have been coming to me since deciding to make this change have been causing a bit of vertigo. :-)It feels really good to be writing again.

I feel you, and I think it is a good idea. I find myself writing almost exclusively female protagonists for just that reason. I’m kind of bored of guys in lead roles. Shadow Stalker is, I take it, a novel in progress?

Yeah, I hadn’t thought about it that way at first. For some reason I find it easier to write for male characters. Maybe it’s because I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy, but I do think that we need a lot more female heroes.

Shadow Stalker was a novel in progress. Actually it was going to be a series of novels, but I’ve decided to try something different instead. I’m going to write it as serialized fiction. Think TV series, but in written form.
